Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026. DoTo ("the app") is a free, open-source task manager at doto.arazgray.com. By using it, you agree to these terms.

1. What DoTo is

DoTo is a static, local-first web app. There is no DoTo server, no DoTo account, and no DoTo backend storing your data.
Your lists, tasks, time records, settings and panel sizes live in your own browser (localStorage).
Optional Google Drive sync and Google Calendar reminders move data only between your browser and your own Google account. DoTo's authors never see, store, or process your data.
The app is provided as-is under the MIT License (see LICENSE in the repository), without warranties of any kind.

Use DoTo only for lawful purposes. Do not use it to store or transmit content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or contains malware.
You are responsible for the content you enter (tasks, notes, references, subtasks) and for keeping your own backups via Sync dialog → Export.
Do not attempt to disrupt the hosted copy of the app or misrepresent it as someone else's product.

Google sign-in, Drive sync and Calendar reminders are provided by Google under Google's own terms and privacy policy. Enabling them is optional; the app works fully offline without them.
Google sign-in runs in Production mode, so the grant persists (no weekly test-mode expiry). Short-lived access tokens are kept only in your browser and renewed silently on demand. Revoking access in your Google account immediately stops sync and reminders.
The Home weather card uses Open-Meteo, BigDataCloud and ipapi.co for location fallback. Their terms apply when that card loads.

The hosted copy at doto.arazgray.com is a best-effort static site. It may be unavailable during hosting outages or while an update rolls out.
Features may change between versions. Installed (PWA) copies update when you open the app with internet; the sidebar Update button forces the newest version.
These terms may be updated; the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoTo's authors are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, or indirect damages arising from use of the app — including data lost by clearing browser storage without an export or sync copy.
Your sole remedy if you disagree with these terms is to stop using the app and delete its browser data.
